1950-2015 - CO² emission 600 %, energy consumption 500% population 300%

The graph of growth of CO², energy and population are very similar. They clearly indicate the correlation between population growth and increase energy and CO² output. As populatin grows, so does the energy consumption and the CO² output.

The average global footprint per person is increasing as a result of the prosperity around the world.

Global population growth and energy needs can't be controlled. Therefor the only way forward is to replace CO² emitting energy production with CO² neutral energy production.
